OK, While working on the dragette image, I've learned a few things. Well re-learned, since they're faults I'm constantly complaining about in other people... Anyway, the lesson is this :"DO NO DESIGN ON THE FLY". While I was pondering this, one of the most obvious of artistic truisms, I started to block out a new dragon, and thought "Hmmm, I wonder if I build this thing in primitives ahead of time, if I could sort of get the volumes blocked out before I get myself in trouble." Since I wasn't in front of a computer at the time, I sketched out the basic pose in cubes (the inset image). Then after a late night at work, I scanned in my sketch and blocked it out in cubes, and you know... I'm sort of happy with the results... Anyway, I'll start to flesh this out into an actual model at some point soon I hope.
